UMR 5077
Molecular, Cellular and Developmental biology unit (MCD)
The research activity of the MCD unit is dedicated to fundamental research in life sciences, focused on the mechanisms governing genome organization and function, cell division and mechanics, cell identity and development. Research is performed at scales ranging from single molecules and macromolecular machines to tissues/organs and whole organisms. The MCD unit includes 26 teams structuring the activity of more than 200 people within 4 research programs. The Centre de Biologie Integrative (CBI) is a federation that includes the MCD, LMGM and CRCA units, joint research units between the University of Toulouse Paul Sabatier and the CNRS.
