Direction

Kerstin Bystricky, Professor of Molecular Biology, is Principal Investigator at the CBI since 2008 and Director of the MCD since 2021.

She arrived in Toulouse in 2004 as Associate Professor (MCU) after 6 years postdoc in Switzerland (ETH Zürich, Uni Geneva). She holds a PhD (1998) from the Pennsylvania State University, USA, and a Diplôme d’Ingénieur Agronome (INA-PG now AgroParisTech, 1993).

Gaëlle Legube is Principal Investigator at the CBI and represents the CODE community ("Chromosome Organization, Dynamics and Evolution") at the MCD board.

She obtained her PhD in 2003 from the University of Toulouse, then performed a post-doc at the EMBL, in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2006, she obtained a CNRS position to join the lab of Didier Trouche in Toulouse, and established her own research group in 2011 at the CBI.

Alice Davy is Principal Investigator at the CBI and represents the STADE community ("Stem Cells and Development") at the MCD board.

She pursued a PhD (1999) at the University of Calgary (Canada) and the University of Grenoble, then performed a post-doc at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle (USA). She established her own research group in 2007 at the CBI.

Anthony Henras is Principal Investigator at the CBI since 2011 and represents the RNA Biology research program at the MCD Board.

He obtained his PhD (2002) from the University of Toulouse, then performed a postdoc at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. In 2006, he obtained a CNRS position at the LBME in Toulouse, France.

Magali Suzanne is Principal Investigator at the CBI since 2011 and represent the CellDyn community (“Cell cycle, Cell dynamics and mechanics”) at the MCD board.

She obtained her PhD (1999) from the University of Toulouse, then performed a post-doc at the CBM in Madrid, Spain. In 2005, she obtained a position as a CNRS researcher and worked at the IBV in Nice, France. From 2008 to 2010, she was  a visiting scientist at the Rockefeller University in New York, USA.
